New patients

A calm first step, with time to understand your needs.

Whether it has been six months or many years since your last visit, you are welcome at Breaffy Dental. Your first appointment is a chance to talk through your concerns, understand your oral health and consider your options without pressure.

What to expect

Your first comprehensive appointment

We take a considered approach so you leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening and what may be appropriate next.

01

Start with a conversation

Tell us what has brought you in, what matters to you and anything you are worried about. There is no need to have the right words or a perfect dental history.

02

A careful assessment

We assess your teeth, gums and overall oral health, taking time to understand the full picture rather than focusing only on one immediate concern.

03

Clear explanations

We explain what we find in plain English, why it matters and what questions you may want to consider.

04

Options and a plan

If treatment is appropriate, we will discuss your options and provide a clear plan and estimate, giving you space to decide what feels right.

Using your PRSI Dental Benefit

If you pay PRSI, your first examination with us may be covered at no cost to you — and you may also be entitled to a contribution towards a scale and polish. We check your entitlement for you.

You are welcome here

No judgement. No pressure. Just a helpful place to begin.

Many people delay dental care because they feel nervous, embarrassed or uncertain about what they might need. We will meet you where you are and help you take one considered step at a time.

You do not need to have it all figured out before you call.

A considered first step is enough.
